We're all broken,
Jagged edges dulled by time,
Puzzle piece souls searching the world;
Desperate to be whole
We forego the bonds of love,
Seeking instead a sticky lust,
A liquid goo that tacks too quickly,
Crumbles around us all too soon.
Tattered clumps of temporary glue remain,
New baggage to claim,
Scars forever torn into our skin.
